Where is B&B located?

We are actually located on Douglas Island in an area known as West Juneau directly across the channel from downtown Juneau. Our inn is situated 835 feet above the channel, giving us some great views of the city, boat docks, channel,  and surrounding mountains.

How best to get to and from the airport and ferry terminals?

We try to work with our guests so their arrival and departure is as convenient as possible. Renting a car is the best way to see the sights of Juneau at your own pace, especially since they are spread out all along Juneau and the channel. We'll be happy to help arrange whatever works best for our guests.

What is the weather like and what clothes should we bring?

We want you to enjoy your visit to our city, so be prepared with a good rain coat, and clothes you can layer. Generally daytime temperatures are in the 60's (the occasional 80 degree day is definitely a heat wave in Juneau!), and because Juneau is located in a temperate rain forest, there is rain. Umbrellas are rarely seen due to winds which sometimes accompany the rain - and of course the "we won't melt" attitude of Alaskans.

How far is the B&B from downtown Juneau and restaurants?

Our B&B is only about 3 minutes from down town, and there are lots of good restaurants and diverse cuisines to choose from, including sea food ! Then after dinner you can take a pleasant stroll around town and view the interesting stores and architectures that make up downtown Juneau.

How much daylight in the summer?

Located this far north, Juneau has over 18 hours of daylight in June, dwindling down to only about 15 hours in August. That is still plenty of sun time - unless it's raining, of course, and then you get just plain ol' cloudy daylight - to see all the wonderful sights of Juneau.

What are your check-in & checkout times?

Our guests are welcome to start check-in at 3 p.m. If you need a late check-in, don't worry because I am a night owl, so I'll be up to greet you and show you to your room. Check-out is 11 A.M., but if you need more time we will work with you, depending upon room availability. If you arrive early, we have a secure luggage storage area until you are ready to check in.

What are you pet policies?

As much as we personally love pets, we are unable to accommodate them in the B&B rooms. If traveling with your pet, call us and we may be able to accommodate them in a protected area on the premises.

What is your policy for smokers?

Our rooms and other inside areas are smoke and pet free for every ones comfort. We welcome smokers and have prepared an outside covered area for them to enjoy.
