Development Manager
The candidate for this opportunity will need to demonstrate past experience as a development manager.

Tasks

Work with senior management to understand the direction of the company and its priorities and to ensure that systems and capabilities are in alignment with organizational goals.

Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.

Oversee development team including coaching, prioritization of tasks, project planning, directing staff, determining training requirements, and providing performance evaluations to develop the team and support the long term needs of the business.

Develop departmental standards, update release schedules, testing requirements, production goals and processes.

Document and maintain system design documentation, procedures, test procedures, and quality standards

Analyze information processing or computation needs and plan and design computer systems, using techniques such as structured analysis, data modeling and information engineering

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field and 10 years work related experience or a combination of work related education and experience

A track record of accurately developing the specifications, sizing the project, and delivering completed projects on time.

Architecture experience in software design patterns, object oriented programming and service oriented architectures with a solid approach to building software.

Experience with Agile and waterfall

Experience overseeing software configuration
